Our Landscape Design Process

Our process ensures that we fulfill your expectations!
  • landscape-design-sidebarFor ideas, flip through magazines and browse websites.
  • Talk to friends and look at landscapes in your neighbouring properties.
  • Brainstorm what you would like.
  • List must-have and nice-to-have features in order of priority.
  • Sketch your ideas on paper.
  • Consider your project budget.
  • landscape-design-sidebarCall us to tell us about your project. We’ll ask you a number of questions over the phone to gain an understanding of your needs and desires and provide guidance.
  • If we mutually agree that our team is a good fit for your project, we will schedule a time to meet with you at your property.
  • At our first meeting, you can take us on a tour of your property and tell us what you are dreaming. We’ll discuss how you want to use your outdoor space, what’s currently working for you and what isn’t, brainstorm concepts, assess any limitations, and review viable material options and budget.
  • For smaller projects, this initial discussion often provides us with enough information to provide you with a design. For larger projects, we’ll recommend that you invest in a full concept design.
  • We’ll take all the information we have gathered away with us to create a concept design for your review.
  • our-process-designBased on our meeting and notes, we’ll create a design concept, or several concepts, for your review. Depending on your design budget and the scope of the project, this design can be a simple hand-drawn sketch, or a more exacting 2-dimensional or a 3-dimensional computer rendering.
  • We’ll send you the design concept(s) for your review.
  • Based on your feedback, we’ll complete any minor adjustments to the design.
  • We’ll ask you to sign a design agreement before we proceed to the planning stage.
  • our-process-planOnce you’ve approved the design concept, we crunch the numbers and create a master project plan and an estimate. The master project plan provides you with the final design, drawn to scale. It incorporates all elements, including architectural elements and plants.
  • Then, based on your feedback, we’ll make any minor adjustments to the plan.
  • We’ll provide you with a contractual agreement to sign.
  • our-process-completeOnce you’ve approved the estimate, we’ll provide you with an estimated timeline and start creating your dream landscape!
  • You may experience some inconvenience during this time and should plan ways to minimize your use of your outdoor living space while we are working on your project. But, the inconvenience will be short and the outcome will be well worth it!
  • At the end of your project, we’ll tour your new landscape together and review all the elements to ensure you’re completely satisfied!
  • And then, enjoy!
